Which Sofa Types Can Be Reupholstered in Dubai?
Any sofa with a solid hardwood frame can be reupholstered, including standard residential sofas, commercial seating, and specialty pieces.
2-seater and 3-seater sofas
Are the most common residential reupholstery projects. Standard turnaround runs 5–7 working days from pickup.
L-shaped and sectional sofas
Require more fabric and labor. Pricing is calculated by the number of seating sections. Each section is stripped, inspected, and reupholstered individually for a consistent finish across the full unit.
Recliner sofas
Go through the same strip-and-rebuild process. The reclining mechanism is checked during frame inspection. Fabric is fitted around moving parts so it does not catch or bunch when the recliner opens.
Chesterfield and tufted sofas
Need button tufting redone during reupholstery. Each button is hand-set to match the original depth and spacing.
Majlis and Arabic floor seating
Includes floor cushions, back rests, and bolster pillows. Available in traditional fabrics, modern velvets, and custom Arabic patterns for residential majlis rooms and corporate hospitality spaces.
One rule applies across all types
If the frame sounds solid and dense when knocked, reupholstery makes sense. If it sounds hollow or flexes under body weight, the frame is particleboard or MDF, and buying new gives better value long-term.
